OUR MISSION...

The mission of Colonial Ecuador is to promote the rich cultural traditions of Latin America´s largest Spanish Colonial area……Colonial Quito. Being overlooked for many years and passed over by more “developed” modern cities, Colonial Quito has maintained its old world charm. And….having being named UNESCOs first World Heritage site in 1978, the Colonial area has undergone a “renaissance” era to bring back its once glory of being named the Paris of Latin America.

We offer three distinct services. First, we help foreigners locate property to purchase. Since there is no “multiple listing service” in Ecuador and most good opportunities are “for-sale-by-owner”, we have located and through our contacts over the years compiled a list of properties to purchase. This list is complied of everything from condominiums, houses and commercial buildings. We cater our services to only non-Ecuadorians and work exclusively for the interest of our clients who pay our fees. We do not accept compensation from sellers.

Second, we have sold many properties over the years to absentee owners who occasionally visit their property. They have asked us to manage their properties for them and we have found that operating their places as hotels can bring these owners great rental returns without the hassle of property management. So….our site has many rental opportunities for tourists or travelers that want a furnished apartment with all the services of a hotel.

Third, Colonial Ecuador is about TRAVEL. In our course of business since 2003…..we opened our tour operations in 2006 and became a full fledged tour operator in Ecuador. Our customers not only wanted to rent apartments and see properties….but requested that we organize their entire itineraries for them. Today….we not only just offer tours for those interested in real estate….but offer a full range of opportunities to explore this great country…..from the Galapagos…..to the cloud forests. We still offer our “real estate tours” but make sure we include some adventure as well!
