"The apartment was everything that we expected. I work for the United Nations and have rented luxury apartments all over the world. The standards for this apartment were equal to others. It has great views from both the balcony and terrace. The building is also safe and quiet with a good location to all the Spanish Colonial museums, churches and restaurants. The evening walks amoungst the old Colonial streets for dinner was truely memorable of Europe. The management staff was exceptional with their service and I highly recommend their private car and driver for aiport pickup as well as tours. They operate an upper end travel agency which caters to a discerning clientele. Due to this large luxury apartment in the heart of the Colonial district that provides great service….there is no reason why anyone should stay in a hotel. ANGELO FARCHIONI Rome, Italy"

"The apartment was great! Having the patio and being able to be outside was an excellent benefit. The management was very responsive when I had any questions, and took the time during off hours to meet with the and walk me through the property when I checked in. Regarding the location, being in Old Town is often times a better experience than being in The Mariscal due to the World Heritage status of the area. Plus, when I wanted to go to The Mariscal is was extremely easy whether I wanted to walk, take a taxi, or a bus. I plan on using ColonialEcuador on my future visits to Quito."

Review for: Casa de Olmedo (17717)
"We loved so many features of this apartment--the location, the
views, the size--and so many things aboutQuito--that we
didn't want to leave. Furthermore, the management agency was excellent with
swift and friendly communication about the apartment. They are also willing
to arrange rides and tours based on all our needs (and all of these worked
out so well in terms of timing and details). Usually we travel very
independently, but we felt very well cared for on this trip. The apartment is
much more beautiful than the pictures on the website reveal. There is a
dining room with an expansive view to the spires of the Basilica and the
cupola of another church--lovely both day and night. Interesting windows even
in the bathrooms offer vistas to different parts of the city. You can even
see a glimpse of La Virgen de Quito up the hill
from the bedroom window. The kitchen--a bit of a dream kitchen
design-wise--is well equipped for cooking and the open layout of the
apartment and incredibly high ceilings allow for good conversation while one
person is cooking and another is relaxing on the sofa, or up in the loft
working on a laptop (if you have brought one) with the convenient ADSL
hookup. We felt incredibly lucky to be
able to walk out our door and get to a supermarket around the corner, the
Plaza Grande only a few yards beyond, and the rest of the Centro Historico immediately around us. The apartment is
perfectly located for day and night walks, and when we wanted a taxi, all we
had to do was go to the corner. A week wasn't really enough to do all that we
wanted to do with all the architecture and then the art and museums that are
available (and daytrips that can be arranged through the management). We'll just have to go back." |

Review for: Quito Apartment Casa Chavez (21934)
"The location is within an easy walking distance to all of Colonial Quito. There are many stores and internet cafes close which were very convienent. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Quito and the Casa Chavez was a safe. All in all I would suggest this location." |
