Historical Homes…

Colonial Quito might be considered the world’s finest collection of “eclectic” architecture. The designation used by most of “Colonial Quito” can be misleading as only a small portion of its domestic houses are actually from the Colonial period. Most of it private dwellings are actually Republican from the 19th Century which was the reason for its being referred to in the late 19th Century as the Paris of Latin America. However, with it’s plethora of Baroque style Colonial era churches and Monasteries combining the splendor of Catholic artistry and the majesty of Imperial Spain with the influence of Inca culture has also compared it as the Rome of Latin America.

Having ourselves lived and worked in Colonial Quito for over 7 years assisting foreigners with real estate, we have become very familiar with the many magnificent grand houses of the 17th, 18th and 19th Centuries.

We offer an exclusive “behind closed doors” adventures into private homes and residences of properties in Colonial Quito that are NOT for sale. We will gain access to properties that are not only impressive architecturally but also have an interesting past. The experience will allow the outsider to view history from a familiar perspective not as a tourist.
